Plastic woven bags are commonly used for carrying goods, and their common characteristics are as follows:
1. Lightweight. This is a very important characteristic. According to professional testing, the density of plastic woven fabric is approximately 0.9-0.98 grams/cubic centimeter. The commonly used material for woven bags is polypropylene. Assuming that plastic woven bags do not add fillers, their density is equivalent to that of polypropylene. The density of polypropylene is 0.9-0.91 grams per cubic centimeter.
2. High cracking strength. The plastic woven bag material is a kind of material with high flexible cracking strength, which is related to its molecular structure, crystallinity, draft orientation, etc., and also to the variety of additives. If the specific strength is used to measure the plastic woven bag, it is higher or close to the metal material
3. Good wear resistance. The conflict coefficient between pure polypropylene plastic woven fabrics is small, only about 0.12, similar to nylon, and to some extent, the conflict between plastic woven fabrics and other items has a lubricating effect.
4. Good chemical corrosion resistance. Plastic woven bags have excellent corrosion resistance and can be stored for a long time in general environments. When the temperature increases, carbon tetrachloride, xylene, turpentine, etc. can swell it, while fuming nitric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, halogenated elements, and other strong oxides can oxidize it. It has good corrosion resistance to strong alkalis and general acids.
5. Good electrical insulation. Pure polypropylene woven fabric is an excellent electrical insulator. Because it does not absorb moisture and is not affected by moisture in the air, the breakdown voltage is also high, and the dielectric constant is 2.2-2.6. Although plastic woven fabric has good insulation, it does not mean that it can be used as an insulation material. In fact, woven bags are not completely insulated.
6. Environmental resistance. At room temperature, plastic woven bags are not corroded by moisture at all. According to measurement data, their water absorption rate within 24 hours is less than 0.01%, and their water vapor penetration is also very low. However, at low temperatures, woven bags may crack due to brittleness. Therefore, when storing woven bags, we should pay attention to room temperature, but they will not undergo mold.
